02:32:16 From Omar Garcia AUL 14 PHA to Everyone : Excellent presentation!
02:34:41 From Sammy Kubesch MM KY 95 Good Faith to Everyone : Are we, as an order, eventually suppose to die off?
02:37:10 From Daniel Marinov, GL AF&AM of Bulgaria to Everyone : Thank you Worshipful Brother Tom for the wonderful presentation!
02:37:48 From Sammy Kubesch MM KY 95 Good Faith to Everyone : I do not have the option to raise a hand, please consider this my hand raising.
02:38:15 From Brian Coleman; Gateway Lodge #109 to Everyone : Right Worshipful Brother Jackson, Thank you very much for an interesting presentation. The advancements of modern medicine notwithstanding, has the median age of the brethren increased in the last 50 years. Are we in the English speaking world not attracting young men?
02:38:15 From Omar Garcia AUL 14 PHA to Everyone : check under the reactions option
02:38:26 From Brian Coffey, PM to Everyone : Hand Raising is under Reactions
02:38:27 From Helio Da Costa, PM Canada to Everyone : The hand raise is found under participants
02:39:14 From Dan Hrinko, PM to Everyone : I would like to discuss the process we use at Arts & Sciences Lodge with our Lodges of Instruction and the 4 month process that precedes the petition. Consider my hand raised.
02:39:20 From Brian Carroll, Master, Good Faith 95 Kentucky to Everyone : Since we are not a charity, and Masons are not in the public light as much as we use to be, how do we continue to add qualified men to continue to survive and right size our fraternity?
02:43:36 From Roger Ross to Everyone : Free Masons have also been scapegoated, persecuted, and killed by leaders of nations….How do we today honor the Martyrs who lived and ……died proud as Free Masons? I am not a member…… yet so if this may not be discussed with me at this time I understand as well…….
02:51:22 From Garry Schultz to Everyone : Could someone type those styles into this chat?
02:51:41 From William Hamilton, guest to Everyone : social philosophical sociological political charitable
02:51:51 From David Cameron, GM Ontario Canada to Everyone : Social
02:51:52 From Helio Da Costa, PM Canada to Everyone : social, philosophical, sociological, political and charitable
02:53:01 From Garry Schultz to Everyone : Thx!
02:54:39 From Brian Coffey, PM to Everyone : The large numbers that grew the Craft in the United States after WWII was due, in large part, to men wanting the fellowship they had during the War. They were not as interested in the philosophical and esoteric as they were in the Fellowship. This hurt the Craft as those brethren began to be in charge and focused on Fellowship. Now our Masonry is their Masonry and we need to break that cycle.
02:56:33 From Omar Garcia AUL 14 PHA to Everyone : interesting point
02:58:10 From Lyle W. Van Outer, P:.M:. Lexington Lodge #1 to Everyone : Look up the etymology of the word ‘charity’. Bro Jackson is exactly correct.
02:58:11 From Dan Hrinko, PM to Everyone : Charity is not the purpose of Freemasonry. As we become better men, we realize that being charitable as individuals is part of being a responsible citizen. Therefore, charity is an accidental byproduct of the making of Masons.
02:58:51 From Helio Da Costa, PM Canada to Everyone : Absolutely! Other Masonic Obediences are growing: for instance, Universal Co-Masonry in North America is growing since they accept women and are esoterically/philosophically inclined and not in the charitable area. Their median age is 40 years old.
03:00:18 From Mark St. Cyr to Everyone : That is probably the most important point that’s missed by most. Why join a lodge to participate in business meeting that any executive worth their salt wouldn’t find repulsive in two minutes.
03:00:55 From Mark St. Cyr to Everyone : repulsive may be too strong maybe the word would be too remedial
03:01:01 From patkay to Everyone : Agree with Mark St. Cyr
03:01:36 From Bruce Steinhard, Kilwinning #356 to Everyone : My lodge seems to want to get business done in an hours time and the lecture from the Leo is luck to get 5 minutes.
03:02:07 From Dan Hrinko, PM to Everyone : I would like to invite all to attend a meeting of Arts & Sciences in Hilliard, Ohio. EVERY MEETING has a discussion of some topic relating to the symbolism, teachings, lessons, and philosophy relating to the Craft. That is why we formed in 2010.
03:02:39 From Helio Da Costa, PM Canada to Everyone : Yes, it should be the opposite. Education and discussion should be used for the majority of time and business the least amount of time.
03:03:34 From Roger Ross to Everyone : If Covid’s silver lining is not going to help greatly bring more people together who yearn for the bond of brotherhood, fraternity and miss this terribly in our society mandated lockdowns. Maybe, perhaps the “tap on the shoulder to people like me” who want what you discuss, love formality in a modern age….is not being offered by enough seasoned and elder Free Masons to all the ones who seek, or would like to seek…..but don’t know how to seek?
03:05:38 From Roger Ross to Everyone : Roger Ross posed above question. I am a guest…proposed member to IRS Lodge number 2 in NYC
03:06:55 From Roger Ross to Everyone : IRA Lodge Number 2
03:16:49 From Plamen Mateev PGM GLAFAMB to Everyone : Outstanding statistics by Brother Thomas Jackson. It implies serious analysis and development of a new approach to saving repetitions with a negative result. We are ready to engage in any attempt to find the right path.
03:18:05 From Stuart Wesley MM St Mark’s Lodge 118 Calgary to Everyone : Thank you Bro Tom Jackson for a great evening
03:21:32 From Mark St. Cyr to Everyone : Thank you Bro. Jackson…You are a treasure to this fraternity.
03:22:02 From John Adkins PM to Everyone : Thank you RW Bro. Jackson and the Rubicon Society… very enlightening!
03:28:48 From Mark St. Cyr to Everyone : Thank you RMS for another great presentation. Good night.
03:29:33 From Daniel Marinov, GL AF&AM of Bulgaria to Everyone : Excellent, bright and very fruitful meeting! I did not believe that such energy could be obtained in an online meeting. Thank you very much Worshipful Brother Tom, Worshipful Brother Brian and all the brothers who were here! With such diverse, wise and experienced brothers as you, Freemasonry is more alive than ever! Great evening!
03:30:06 From Jerry Johnston – Lexington No. 1 to Everyone : Thank you Brother Jackson, great presentation!
