LIGHT ON FREEMASONRY

On January 21, 2020 the Museum of Freemasonry in Bulgaria was officially opened. It is situated in the 1st freemasonic hall and temple. In this hall The Light was given to the Mother-Grand Lodge of all Bulgaria Grand Lodges: the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in Bulgaria. The Light was given and introduced during a 2 day ritual on 20-21 September 1997 by The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Germany (GL AF&AM of Germany) as part of the United Grand Lodges of Germany (UGLsG).

The Museum houses on display documents, text and photo materials, books, postcard stamps, other items and artifacts concerning the history of Freemasonry in Bulgaria and its development to present days.

The Museum shows and explains the way and path of the seperation from The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons in Bulgaria of groups of Brothers and constituent lodges and how they formed the nowaday new grand masonic lodges in he 21st century: The United Grand Lodge of Bulgaria (formed in 2001), the Grand Lodge of Bulgaria (formed in 2010) and the Grand Lodge of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Bulgaria (formed in 2013).

The Museum has also a complete digital archive which is posted on various place at the official website of the GL AF&AM in Bulgaria and other official to the GL platforms.
