National United Grand Lodges of Bulgaria (NUGLB)

On June 18, 2016, in orient Plovdiv, a ceremony was held for the creation of the Union “National United Grand Lodges of Bulgaria”. The new structure is the result of the joint actions of The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Bulgaria, The Grand Lodge of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Bulgaria, The Grand Lodge of Bulgaria. The Union aims to establish the idea of ​​a Shared United Bulgarian Orient (SUBO) and is a step towards it. More than 300 Brothers from various craft lodges from all over the state of Bulgaria attended the meeting. The 3 MW Grand Masters, signed the agreement to create the Union, thus also exchanging mutual recognition papers. A special guest of the event was the Supreme and Sovereign Commander of the Supreme Council of the 33rd and the last degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Bulgaria M.I. Bro. Petar Kalpakchiev.
