Bringing junior Freemasons of Manchester & Salford together as friends, building a supportive network and the advancement of Masonic knowledge.

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Third Rising from MLC, where we’ve tried to capture some of the things that are happening within the club.

A Night to Remember!

On Tuesday 23rd May The Manchester Level Club took over the Lodge of Silent Temple 126! It was a very special event in that the club was presenting it’s very own Explanation of the First Degree. The presentation was curated by members of the club with the help of Worshipful Brother Philip Titterton who’s also part of the Provincial Learning & Development Team. Seventy attendees made up of guests, members of the MLC and Lodge of Silent Temple 126 witnessed this very special meeting with our own take on the First Degree – as you can see by the picture we like to do things differently here at The Manchester Level Club!

Thank you to everyone who attended and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback. Special thanks go out to all the members above who worked so hard to make the presentation a success alongside Worshipful Brother Philip Titterton. Lastly, another special mention goes out to Worshipful Brother Gerald Sclater for allowing us to use his unique cartoons on our t-shirts which we’ve all grown to love over the years.

SAVE THE DATE! MLC LODGE VISIT!

1723 Constitutions Presentation

As 2023 marks the tercentenary of the publication in London of The Constitutions of the Freemasons, you may have seen or even attended the Especial Meeting of United Grand Lodge in January to celebrate this occasion. The 1723 Constitutions (often referred to as Anderson’s Constitutions) quite frankly transformed Freemasonry. Hot off the back of their last meeting, The Lodge of Silent Temple 126 have managed to secure an evening with Dr. Ric Berman! Dr. Berman was part of the celebrations at the Especial Meeting in January. We’re honoured that he’ll be coming to visit the Lodge on Monday 9th October at Hemsley House, Salford to give us a talk on the 1723 Constitutions.

Save the date as this is another evening not to be missed at Lodge of Silent Temple 126 and we’ll share registration details shortly. This will be one of the first MLC Lodge Visits after the Summer Break so please do come along and meet more members of the club at another unforgettable evening! Places for this meeting will go quickly, we suggest registering as soon as we share the details so keep your eyes peeled!

Tour de Province!

The Manchester Level Club are planning a “Tour de Province” where Worshipful Brother Tom Daniel and Brother Elliot Jervis plan to ride to each hall in the Province of East Lancashire next weekend! We’re exhausted just thinking about it!!

If you’re a keen cyclist there is still time to get involved! Please get in touch with secretary@manchesterlevelclub.co.uk if interested.

Come and join them at a leisurely pace; remember, it is not a race! It will be just brethren on bikes visiting each hall in the Province to raise funds for the MCF as part of the East Lancashire 2026 Festival.

Come and meet the guys at your local hall and support them if you fancy – I’m sure they would love nothing more than an ice cool Lemonade at each hall.

If cycling is not your thing, no problems! You can also support them by donating to their fundraising challenge – hit the button below!

We’re on the lookout for our next club visits! Do you have a ceremony or event coming up after the Summer Break that you’d like us to attend…? Do you need extra support in your Lodge…? If so please reach out to us and we’ll do the rest to get something arranged. If you can email us by hitting the button below we’ll get right back to you!
