Bringing junior Freemasons of Manchester & Salford together as friends, building a supportive network and the advancement of Masonic knowledge.

Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Third Rising from MLC, where we’ve tried to capture some of the things that are happening within the club.

Manchester Level Club AGM 2023

Our AGM took place on Friday 10th May at Hemsley House in Salford. Bro. Paul Mansell stepped down as Chairman of the club after two successful years at the helm. The club has seen a huge development in the two years Paul has been Chairman and we wish him all the best on the rest of his Masonic journey! Bro. Hiten Patel, was appointed as the new Chairman for the ensuing year. There were some great discussions being had around the table and we feel very positive as to the next phase of the Manchester Level Club. It was particularly encouraging to see two new initiates less than a week into their journey at the meeting! Special thanks to Hemsley House for hosting us and all those in attendance. Wishing the new team all the best over the next 12 months! You can read more about the changes to club and the AGM by hitting the button below.

Everyone has a voice at our AGM. This is important to us as a club. If you need extra support in any way or have suggestions or recommendations for the club then please do email us – contact@manchesterlevelclub.co.uk

Easter EGGstravaganza!

We have launched our Easter Egg Hunt! Hooray! Not your usual Easter Egg Hunt – we’re hunting for YOUR Easter Eggs! Over the next 4 weeks we’ll be collecting Easter eggs to donate to a few good causes and to some families and children that may need some cheering up at the moment.

All we’re looking for is a small donation of Easter Eggs. We can arrange collection from yourselves either personally (if you are East Lancs based) or at one of the Halls close to Manchester. We also have an Amazon wish list that makes getting us a donation even easier! Click on Easter Egg Wish List button below which will take you to our main fundraising page and you can select the wish list from here!

We’ll be collecting until Tuesday 4th April when we’ll then be out in the area making our donations and putting some huge smiles on many faces!

Tower of Terror!

Our new Chairman and new Fundraising and Events Team wasting no time in getting the first charity effort under their belts…or rather harness! On Saturday 11th March they headed to Peel Tower to abseil down it in the name of charity. Whilst there may have been some sore heads following the AGM the night before, there was no time to feel fragile as they had to ascend 130 ft by 148 steps of freezing cold stone, to then hang off the side and make their way back down! They joined others in raising just over £1000 for the charity Walking with the Wounded. A great effort and for a fantastic charity that does many great things. You can find out more about them on their website – https://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/

WE NEED YOU!

In conjunction with the Provincial Learning and Development Team, The Manchester Level Club will be hosting a special event at Lodge of Silent Temple 126. The Lodge Meeting will take place at Hemsley House on Tuesday 23rd May 2023 where we’ll be giving an Explanation of the First Degree. We’re working on the “presentation” now and are looking for volunteers to take part. You don’t have to be an experienced ritualist at all. This is actually a great way to learn and be more confident with your ritual. You’ll really get under the skin of the meaning behind what you’re saying. There are many roles and opportunities available and it gives you the chance to do something a little bit different from what you may ordinarily be used to in your Lodge. Rehearsals and sessions will take place both online and in person over the next few weeks. If you’re interested in being involved please hit the button below and get in touch!
