Freeport High Twelve Club #43 – IL

Freeport High 12 #43 is happy to report we have another new member.  He, too, was invited by our treasurer, Calvin Barklow, as was Myles Fairless.  Myles in turn invited Rob Erickson.  The initiation of Myles and Rob is pictured below.  With the latest new member, we now are back to 21 members, which is great, as well as our several guests (wives and widows).  We will include the information of Ken Howard, the newest member, in next month’s newsletter.

Also included is a picture of one of the new members, Bro. Myles Fairless.  He shared with us that he and Rob attended the Michigan Scottish Rite Council of Deliberation in Grand Rapids, and were glad to see the High Twelve plaque on the wall (MI Association Club of the Year Award for #236 Furniture City – if you wondering what it said!).  They were very glad to have made the trip.  It was a good experience.

We still meet at Logan’s in Freeport every Wed.  We hope to have speakers real soon.  If you are so inclined, please join us for nice meal and great companionship.

Secretary

Sun City West High Twelve Club #567 – AZ
SCW had their first summer luncheon 5/12 at JiMichaels Restaurant in Sun City.  This is the time of the year that our snow birds head back north and we just like to continue to meet, greet, catch up and EAT!  We go to a different restaurant each month until the Fall when regular meeting resume.  David Miller, PSP, President

This last picture, Jeff Samuelson (standing) surprised us with a quick visit.  He has recently finished radiation treatments and is looking good.  Earl Paasch, treasurer, was truly happy to see him!  Hears to a good and full recovery!

East Valley High Twelve #765 – AZ

Brother David Stankow talked about the “Landmarks in Freemasonry”  at our April 15th meeting. The interesting thing is the AZ Grand Lodge does not have any!  Because once you have them you can change/edit/delete them – interesting fact about landmarks!

Montebello High Twelve Club #422 – CA
Junior Citizen of the Month Program

My name is Jade Slevcove. I am a senior at Schurr High School. I am the April Junior Student of the Month.

I am grateful to be awarded with this recognition.

I am seventeen years of age. I have a younger brother, Isaac Lozano, who along with my Mom, Sarah Slevcove, and Activities Director, Claudia Monreal who were able to join with me in this Golden Skewer luncheon. My thanks go to the Masons, Robert Risher and Donald Travis, who lead this program, on behalf of the Montebello-Whittier Masonic Lodge #323, administered by the Montebello Masonic Luncheon Club #422. (pictured with student)

In the past four years here at Schurr, I have grown so much. I have learned a lot about myself while immersing into the school culture. As part of the Track & Field team, four years and Volleyball team, two years, I was able to accomplish more than I could have imagined. Involvement in student government, and Key Club for four years, offered me opportunities to learn several skills and to employ them in service. I was involved in Christian Club and the Debate team for two years as well. Other activities on campus, within my church, and household, help round me out even more.

As I graduate on June 9, I look back as a lifetime member with CSF, highest honors by NHS. I am so thankful for my journey through high school to get me here. I have been accepted to Chapman University where I will major in Political Science. I am excited for what comes next in my life and the path God as planned for me

Don E. Travis, Secretary
